Chicken Soup for the Soul: It's Christmas Review

We are members of Chicken Soup for the Soul's Souper Bloggers and we get to bring your their newest books! This time we were sent a copy of Chicken Soup for the Soul: It's Christmas!: 101 Joyful Stories about the Love, Fun, and Wonder of the Holidays to review.

I admit that I had a hard time getting into Christmas this year. I'm not sure if it was because of the late Thanksgiving which made it feel like Christmas came a lot quicker or because of our lack of snow (I live in ski country Western NY lol we gotta have snow for Christmas!). And we also ended up having some of our Christmas decorations stolen from my front lawn this year too so that didn't seem to help matters (like 3 hours after I put them outside!!) I was still going through the motions of putting up the tree Thanksgiving weekend and stocking away the presents but it felt like something was missing overall.

I picked up the book around the second week of December and it really helped to get me into the Christmas spirit. More Christmas music started to play in our house and I got into the baking mood. While I didn't do all of the normal Christmas activities of the last few years I made sure that my daughter didn't miss out on any of hers.

I love how the book is "Santa safe" so you don't have to worry about the secret of Santa getting out there and the whole family can enjoy it. Maybe you'll even find an idea or two to start a new family tradition in your family for next Christmas!

You can currently find the book wherever Chicken Soup Books are sold and on Amazon for both Kindle and Paperback!
