Target Breakfast Twist

I was recently sent a box to change up our breakfast routine and Target Challenging me to a Breakfast Twist. Included inside of my box are things that I can help make a quick and easy breakfast in the morning that is still healthy and will give an extra boost of energy in the morning!

Inside of my box to experiment with was ~

1 pouch Nature Valley® Protein Granola
1 box Nature Valley® Granola Bars
1 box Honey Nut Cheerios® Medley Crunch™ cereal
 1 box Trix® cereal
1 package Quaker® Oats
 1 jar Jif® peanut butter
 1 package Nutella® mini cups
1 pouch Grandma Hoerner’s® Big Slice™ apples snack

I have to admit that I am one of those people that skips breakfast or when I want breakfast I want to make it big. Finding the quick and easy breakfast mornings are what we have been looking for to try and slow down our rushed routine in the mornings.

When I gave my daughter the option of everything and asked her what she would like she selected the Nature Value Granola Bars and her favorite the Jif Peanut Butter. She was also eyeing the Grandma Hoerner's Big Slice Apples Snack and we opened it up for her to taste. After she tried it out she decided to do a little take on peanut butter and jelly!

I am always one for oatmeal and I always find that I eat my oatmeal the same (and not in the best way either) as I add milk and a few spoonfuls of sugar. I made my Quaker Oats and decided to try out some of the Nature Valley Granola on top. While I would often eat granola for a quick snack I never really enjoyed it with yogurt but with -1 degree temperature oatmeal with granola it was! And I have to say that I LOVED it! I don't need to have the extra sugar added to it because the granola provided enough of the sweetness for me with the oatmeal.

You can pick up all of the products above at your local Target and find more recipes to help boost your quick breakfast mornings with Target too!

  1. Cool, I like the idea of putting the peanut butter on the apple slices, it is great and nutritional sound. Thank you for sharing this post with us, Target has a lot of great items and I also like my granola with hot oatmeal or with ice cold vanilla ice cream.. YUMMY

  2. Well, the only thing that comes to mind is Nutella oatmeal. Doesn't that sound like a great way to start the day? And possibly end the day? I love Nutella.
