Toy Story Alien Oreos

As promised from my Disney Side party I had more posts to share about how we did some things! I think the best food from the kids point of view was the Toy Story Alien Oreos! They were so simple to make and were the first thing to disappear at the party!

The one day I was trolling Pinterest I can seen someone do it but I think it was done with GoGurt. We weren't able to come across any green GoGurt so we decided to just do frosting.

I purchased Edible Eyeballs so I didn't have to draw or pipe each one onto the cookies. These ones from Wilton were the ones we used and they are definitely a sweet candy.
You can use premade frosting and add green food coloring to make it green. I put about a cup of powered sugar into a bowl and slowly added a little water and stirred to get a thicker slime/goo feel to my frosting.

Then you simply dip the Oreo into your green frosting. We had a cookie sheet to put our dipped cookies on and then added their eyes. The eyes are small so I'd keep a few toothpicks close by so you can easily move them into position. Once you've dipped them all toss them in the fridge for the frosting to harden up. Then you arrange on a plate and wait for everyone's reaction!

Definitely a hit! Even if you are looking for a fun food craft to do with the kids this is a good one! My daughter had a lot of fun helping to make them!
