Monster Cookies

Halloween is next week! Kids are in full swing ready for all the treats that are coming up! If you are looking for a quick and easy snack why not whip up some quick Monster Cookies? The possibilities are endless all you only need 3 items!

What you'll need:

Cookies ~ make them yourself or buy anything you want
Eyeball Candy ~ our Walmart carries them year round in the craft baking aisle
Icing ~ I use the black icing so I can double up doing the mouth too

Super easy to create. The Wilton squeeze tubes of icing are what I use for my icing. Put the two dots for the eyes and place the eye ball candy on. Then create your mouth. Whether they are happy monsters or scary they are sure to create a smile on everyone!

Plus you can take any cookie and add a little white frosting to create a ghost cookie! The Nutter Butter Ghosts were created by melting down Betty Crocker Vanilla Frosting on top of a double boiler. Once it's melted down start dipping your cookies in and place onto a cookie sheet. I usually toss it into the fridge and let the frosting harden a little bit before adding faces. If you don't have any gel you can always use mini chocolate chips or M&Ms to add eyes and a mouth on too!

You could always do the same thing with the frosting and turn Oreos into ghosts too! The best thing is that the kids can help putting their snack together! My daughter had a lot of fun helping to create the mouths and adding eyes to them all!

We have at least 4 different scout/dance/school parties where everyone should bring a snack next week. We will definitely be breaking out some Monster Cookies for them!

Leah Shumack is the voice behind Clair's Freebies. Born and raised in ski country Western NY where I still live today with my beautiful 8 year old daughter. When I'm not tending to her or out scoping deals I enjoy entering giveaways and trying out new things in the kitchen!
