Free Weekend Activities ~ 7/29~7/31

If you are looking for some fun on a budget, we have compiled a list of national retailers with hands-on workshops, classes and free in-store events for this weekend and many more that are coming soon.

Barnes & Noble 

Saturday, July 30th 8 PM. Midnight Magic Party featuring Harry Potter Contact your local Barnes & Noble store to verify participation. Barnes & Noble Sunday, July 31st. Celebrate the Release of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child with events and activities. Contact your local Barnes & Noble store to verify the time and participation.

Disney Store 

Now through September 5th Summer Play Days for kids ages 3 and up with activities such as Art of Animation, Trivia, Story Time and Showtime. At select locations. Contact your local Disney Store for details.  

Lakeshore Learning 

Saturday, July 30thrd from 11 AM - 3 PM and a few locations offer crafts on Sunday. Kids design and take a Craft Stick Puppy. Get more information from Lakeshore Learning Free Crafts for Kids. 

Michael's Kid's Club

Saturday, July 30th from 10 AM - 12 PM Kids make and take a Monster Bookmark Corner. The cost is $2 per child which includes the supplies. Get more information at the Michaels' website

FREE National Park Admission Dates for 2016 

August 25th-28th – National Park Service Birthday 
September 24 – National Public Lands Day 
November 11 – Veterans Day 

FREE National Parks Admission for 4th Graders 

Every 4th grader will get an Every Kid in the Park pass food for FREE admission to all of America's National Parks. The pass will be good for one full year and will be good for the 4th graders & their families as most parks charge admission per car. This is part of President Obama’s Every Kid in the Park initiative. 

 Bank of America Museums on Us 

Saturday, August 6th and Sunday, August 7th Bank of America’s Museums on Us is offering free admission to more than 150 museums nationwide. Simply present your Bank of America or Merrill Lynch credit or debit card along with a photo ID to gain free general admission to any participating institution. Lego Stores Free Model Build 

Free LEGO Model Build Events are usually held monthly in stores. Kids ages 6 to 14 can build a model and take it home. You must use an email address saved in your LEGO VIP Membership account. Membership and registration are free. Get more information here: shop.LEGO.com/VIP

Williams-Sonoma Cooking Classes for Adults

Sunday, July 31st
Flavors of Spain: José Andrés’ Classic Paella - featuring recipes from the renowned chef José Andrés. A native of Spain turned United States citizen, he is credited with introducing Americans to both avant-garde and traditional Spanish cooking. $30 per person includes a paella pan to take home. Williams-Sonoma Cooking Classes for Kids 

(this class is not free- hopefully the free classes will be available soon) Saturday, August 13th at 10 AM - American Girl™ Lemonade Stand You'll make the best lemonade ever, with just the right balance of sweet and tart, and also bake a lemony dessert. You’ll take home an American Girl Lemonade Stand Kit, which includes everything you need to set up shop at home. Suitable for ages 8–13. $40 includes an American Girl Lemonade Stand Kit. Major League Baseball Clinics

Through the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association, kids can attend a free baseball clinic in many locations across the country. The free program is called Free Legends for Youth Kids Clinics.

 Michael's Summer Camp Creativity

If you find yourself in a new location and are looking for a playground, use the free KaBoom Map of Play, playground finder and just type your location into the search bar. 

Find Pumpkin Patches, Hay Rides, Pick Your Own Orchards and Haunted Houses

Sephora: Free In Store Beauty Classes 

Join the Sephora Beauty club , and attend free beauty classes inside Sephora stores to learn everything from building a skin care routine to creating the perfect smoky eye. Classes are held on Sunday at more than 60 stores across the USA. Check with your local stores for schedules and times. 

 SKI Passport for 5th Graders

Go to www.5thgradeskipassport.com to get a free pass in Idaho or the Pacific Northwest. For other areas, search for your state with the words "5th grade ski pass + your state", or the name of your local ski resort. 

Target - Free Community Events

Target is also sponsoring FREE community events ranging from free museum admission, free theater tickets, family activities and tours at some of our countries most famous venues. Times and locations vary by city. Find free family activities sponsored by Target in your area right here.

Wine Tasting
