If you are looking for some fun on a budget, we have compiled a list of national retailers with hands-on workshops, classes and free in-store events for this weekend and we list more that are coming soon.

Bank of America Museums on Us

 Saturday, September 3rd and Sunday, September 4th Bank of America’s Museums on Us is offering free admission to more than 150 museums nationwide. Simply present your Bank of America or Merrill Lynch credit or debit card along with a photo ID to gain free general admission to any participating institution. Barnes & Noble 

Saturday, September 3rd at 11AM. Storytime and activities featuring "If You Ever Want to Bring an Alligator to School, Don't! Contact your local Barnes & Noble store to verify participation.  

Disney Store 

Now through September 5th Summer Play Days for kids ages 3 and up with activities such as Art of Animation, Trivia, Story Time and Showtime. At select locations. Contact your local Disney Store for details.

Saturday, September 3rd at 10:15 AM - Group Ukulele Lessons Register at Guitar Center workshops

Home Depot Kids Workshop 

Saturday, September 3rd from 9 AM to 12 PM Kids make and take a Back to School Whiteboard. Get more information and register at Home Depot workshops .
Saturday, September 3rd from 11 AM - 3 PM and a few locations offer crafts on Sunday. Kids design and take a Big Blue Sky Binoculars craft. Get more information from Lakeshore Learning Free Crafts for Kids. 

  Michael's Kid's Club 

Saturday, September 3rd from 10 AM - 12 PM. Kids ages 3 and up make Fall Paper Lantern craft. The craft is free and includes the supplies. Parent or guardian must remain on the premises during Kids Club. Get more information at the Michaels' website.  

 Williams-Sonoma Cooking Classes for Kids 

Saturday, September 3rd at 10 AM. Fall Baking for Kids Benefiting No Kid Hungry® - Learn the basics of baking as we whip up some yummy sweet treats. $10 per child. 


FREE National Park Admission Dates for 2016 

September 24 – National Public Lands Day 
November 11 – Veterans Day 

 FREE National Parks Admission for 4th Graders

Every 4th grader will get an Every Kid in the Park pass food for FREE admission to all of America's National Parks. The pass will be good for one full year and will be good for the 4th graders & their families as most parks charge admission per car. This is part of President Obama’s Every Kid in the Park initiative. 

Smithsonian Magazine's Museum Day Live

September 24th at participating museums nationwide Download one free ticket, good for two people, for Smithsonian Magazine’s Museum DayLive! Each ticket grants free admission on September 24, 2016, to the ticket holder plus a guest, valid at participating museums across all 50 states. Yoga Month 

September is National Yoga Month. Over 1,500 yoga studios will offer 1 free week of classes and over 1,000 yoga studios all across the USA will have yoga events. Get more information here

 Home Depot Workshops for Adults 

Saturday, September 10th from 10-11:30 AM - Learn interior paint techniques and drywall repair. Sunday, September 11th from 1 - 2:30 PM - Easy Bath Updates including how to remove old vanity lights and install new ones and then install wall-mounted bath accessories like towel and toilet tissue holders to complete the look. Lego Stores Free Model Build

 Free LEGO Model Build Events are usually held monthly in stores. Kids ages 6 to 14 can build a model and take it home. You must use an email address saved in your LEGO VIP Membership account. Membership and registration are free. Get more information here: shop.LEGO.com/VIP

Williams-Sonoma Cooking Classes for Adults 

Sunday, September 25th - Knife Skills
Master the art of chopping, slicing and dicing like a pro. We’ll cover the essentials, including the proper way to hold a knife and how to hone it.  Major League Baseball Clinics

Through the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association, kids can attend a free baseball clinic in many locations across the country. The free program is called Free Legends for Youth Kids Clinics.

Sephora: Free In Store Beauty Classes 

Join the Sephora Beauty club , and attend free beauty classes inside Sephora stores to learn everything from building a skin care routine to creating the perfect smoky eye. Classes are held on Sunday at more than 60 stores across the USA. Check with your local stores for schedules and times. 

SKI Passport for 5th Graders

Go to www.5thgradeskipassport.com to get a free pass in Idaho or the Pacific Northwest. For other areas, search for your state with the words "5th grade ski pass + your state", or the name of your local ski resort. 

 Target - Free Community Events
